Natural Wines are interesting, diverse, and pair exceptionally well with food. Their unique qualities and taste lend to their abundance across the JK Food Group beverage menus. This coming Monday, chef Jamie Bissonnette and Wine Director Jodie Battles will share their excitement for Natural Wines at an intimate five-course pairing dinner hosted at Little Donkey.
When asked why Natural Wines are so fun to pair, Battles said, “They are food friendly no matter what. The wines we selected are from small producers, small growers who try to achieve the low alcohol, high acidity that lend to various types of food. The approach of being hands-off and as minimal intervention as possible aims to make wines that are fun to play with alongside a menu.”
Fun and tasty are what we do best, but there’s always a third side to the story, in this case these producer’s stories. Just as Bissonnette chooses to invest in the farmers that continue to grow using best practices, Battles chose these wines based on the people who produce them. She explains, “We chose wines with people that all have a story that I’m super stoked about. I can stand behind them as humans and what they are about and what they are trying to create with this straightforward approach. I love these wines and these producers and to get behind both of them is the ultimate goal.” Yes. #goals indeed.
Seating for this special five-course pairing is extremely limited and tickets are $100 plus tax and gratuity. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested. And stay tuned - this may be the first, but it certainly won’t be the last.
